Strix co-founds the Agentic Commerce Alliance: shaping the future of AI-driven commerce

A

t Strix, we’ve always believed that the future of commerce should belong to those who combine technological innovation with human-centric brand identity. That’s why we’re proud to be a founding member of the Agentic Commerce Alliance, a joint initiative launched alongside Shopware and other leading digital commerce players to ensure merchants remain empowered in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.

Why Agentic Commerce matters

AI is rapidly transforming how commerce operates. As autonomous agents begin making purchase decisions, the traditional roles of brands and merchants are being challenged. In this new reality, there’s a real risk: a market where automation, price-based algorithms, and centralized platforms dominate, leaving little room for differentiation, customer connection, or merchant independence.

At Strix, we see a better way forward.

Together with Shopware (the initiator of the Alliance) and 14 other forward-thinking companies, we’ve co-founded the Agentic Commerce Alliance to champion an open, diverse, and innovation-led vision for AI in commerce. Our mission is to give merchants the tools, standards, and agency to not just survive, but thrive in the Bot Economy.

Two guiding principles

The Alliance’s goals are bold, yet simple:

1. Empowering merchants in agent-based commerce

We’re contributing to the development of open, interoperable standards that enable businesses to engage with AI-driven commerce without surrendering control. These standards help AI agents evaluate value in richer, more meaningful ways, factoring in trust, expertise, experience, and alignment with customer needs.

2. Using AI to enhance brand differentiation

Rather than flattening the market, AI should elevate it. Through Agentic Commerce, brands can deliver hyper-personalized experiences, intelligent automation, immersive storytelling, and tailored service, all while maintaining full ownership of their identity and customer journey.

United across industries

The Alliance is growing quickly. Alongside Shopware and Strix, it includes a strong mix of ecommerce, martech, and digital transformation partners: Pimcore, Basecom, Valantic, Human Element, ChannelEngine, Nosto, CapTech, Spotler, and others. Together, we represent a broad and diverse coalition of companies committed to shaping the ethical and strategic foundations of AI in digital commerce.

A future we believe in

Joining the Agentic Commerce Alliance reflects a strong commitment to shaping the future of digital commerce. We believe it belongs to those who fuse technology with brand identity. Agentic Commerce isn’t just a trend – it’s a long-term vision to democratize commerce, where AI empowers brands of all sizes to thrive. Borys Skraba, CCO at Strix Group

This isn’t just about staying ahead of technology. It’s about redefining the rules, ensuring that AI becomes a tool for empowerment, not consolidation. With over 55,000 merchants already powered by Shopware, and a growing ecosystem of partners aligned behind this vision, the groundwork is being laid for a more open, transparent, and human-first ecommerce landscape.

We’re excited to lead this next chapter. And we invite all innovators, merchants, and digital leaders to join us in building it.
