webweit’s next chapter with the new SaaS Unit

S

ince its foundation, webweit (part of the Strix Group since March) has provided services entirely focused on Shopware. As an implementation partner, the company has hundreds of challenging projects to its credit. And while Shopware has remained a core service of the agency all along, it is time for a change and a natural step toward further development. With merger and joining the Strix Group structure, webweit is expanding its service portfolio and announcing the opening of a new SaaS Unit business division under the leadership of Simon Freimoser as SaaS Unit Manager.

The expansion of services does not mean the resignation of Shopware implementations in the On Premise model. On the contrary, the company continues to offer this service to customers, ensuring that their business grows and scales. What is more, the agency plans to further develop the Shopware department and significantly increase the development team.

Diversifying solutions is aimed at becoming even more aligned with the needs of today's business and customer. The e-commerce landscape is changing and the agency wants to be at the forefront of this change.

We want to be able to offer our clients a choice of platforms. What remains the same is customer centricity. Regardless of the solution we choose, the customer will always be at the center and providing the best possible service to them remains our greatest value.”says Florian Borchers, COO at webweit part of the Strix Group.

SaaS Unit with focus on Shopify Plus

Building a new department will help to achieve ambitious goals and push the boundaries in further growth. The agency wants to pursue even more challenging projects and needs the right leader to build and manage the SaaS department. This task was assigned to Simon Freimoser.

Freimoser gained experience in e-commerce as Head of Project Management at Findologic, Delivery Director - DACH at Overdose, and Head of Interface Development at Y1 Digital AG. Simon's extensive knowledge of market solutions, project management, and in the implementation of complex projects on both the product and agency side enables him to look at projects in a broad context.

I have always focused on a client-centered approach and meeting their specific needs. My experience working in an international environment, concentration on client’s growth, employing connected best-of-breed tech-stacks, as well as my personal development and staying up to date with what is happening in the market are integral drivers for me. I know that joining Strix will allow me to realize my clients' goals as well as my own ambitions - says Simon.

Shopify Plus has established itself as an all-in-one SaaS commerce platform for businesses pursuing flexibility and easy, straightforward growth, both nationally and internationally. As a matter of fact, the decision to expand the portfolio with Shopify Plus didn't happen overnight or because it is "en vogue", but is founded on strong strategic beliefs. With this new technology at hand, webweit is convinced they can provide a more versatile service offering. Whether it is an easy market entry, the quick addition of new languages to existing stores, steering multiple instances from a single "cockpit" or opening up completely new sales-channels, all while putting the business of clients first - Shopify Plus empowers its clients to do so. And as these characteristics are directly feeding in to webweit's development strategy and their strategic road ahead of them, the addition is the next logical step.

Simon is a perfect fit with our company culture and the values we hold as an organization. His extensive experience gives us a fresh perspective on new opportunities in the market -says Marten Lehmann, CEO of webweit and Managing Director of Strix Group.
