B2B shop for a hair care manufacturer
Keune Haircosmetics is one of the oldest hair care brands in Europe. The Dutch company was founded in 1922 and became known for developing the first perm liquid.
About the project
The Keune Haircosmetics brand has until now only had a website, which served as a product catalogue, and a wide range of hair products were sold through offline channels - including frequent visits to hair salons by account managers. The Keune brand wanted to launch online sales to enable hairdressers to purchase products online and optimise the time and costs associated with the existing sales model. The challenge before us was to create a B2B online platform in the new Keune Haircosmetics corporate identity.
Shopware as a basis
We decided to choose Shopware as the solution that perfectly matched the company's needs. Shopware allows further pages to be created in the system without the need for developers, which was of considerable importance to the client. The wide range of B2B functionalities that the platform makes available was used in this project, and the shop itself is very extensive and contains around 800 hair and hairdressing products.
Integration with JD Edwards
The project also aimed to automate all administrative activities as much as possible. To achieve this, a link was built between Shopware and Keune's ERP system, JD Edwards. In this way, all business logic remains in the ERP system.
